What the Branch Does
Our branch is the local engine for Reform UK in this part of East Sussex. We:

  • Identify and support local candidates for parish, district, and county elections.
  • Run campaigns in by-elections and major elections, from leafleting to public events, voter outreach, and messaging.
  • Engage with local issues such as, planning, housing, transport, schools, and the environment and translate Reform’s national policy into local relevance.
  • Host community forums, public meetings, and local gatherings so that residents can meet us, ask questions, and hold us to account.
  • Mobilise volunteers, coordinate branch logistics, and maintain visibility in local media, social media, and public spaces.
  • Maintain links between local members and the national party, ensuring local voices influence national direction.

Role of the Branch in Elections & Member Engagement
During elections, the branch:

  • Selects, vets, and supports prospective candidates for parish, district, and county elections.
  • Organises campaign materials, door-knocking, leafleting, public engagement, social media pushes, and events.
  • Coordinates with volunteers to maximise turnout and share Reform UK’s message locally.
  • Raises funds locally and allocates them toward campaigning in this area.

With branch members, we:

  • Provide a local network and community of people who share Reform values, helping to amplify each other’s voices, and hold regular meetings, training sessions, and strategy forums.
  • Encourage local members to contribute ideas, lead small projects, or represent the branch in their ward.
  • Offer opportunities to join campaign teams, support events, or take up public roles in the branch.

Why Our Branch Matters
Every successful campaign starts at a local level. National elections are vital, but control of local government, parish councils, district, county, is where people feel the effects in their daily lives. Roads, schools, planning decisions, social care, waste collection, local services, all of these are decided by people elected at these levels.

By building a strong branch in Brighton and Hove, and across our constituencies, we are laying the foundations for long-term change.

We give Reform UK a credible presence in local politics, generate local momentum, and produce the candidates who will carry our vision forward.
